This position is located in Byhalia, MS. No relocation assistance is provided.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Perform scheduled and reactive corrective maintenance on facility assets.

  • Perform scheduled preventive & predictive maintenance on facility assets as assigned.

  • Provide facility maintenance needs on shift work and weekends.

  • Participate in meetings and training activities.

  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

  • Use CMMS to document job details.

  • Strong passion to demonstrate safe work practices, help drive a safe work culture, and work in a team environment.

  • Strong communications, reading, writing and math skills.

  • Good attendance record and work ethics.

  • Ability to cover call-ins, overtime, holidays and work weekends as well as 2nd & 3rd shift when needed.

  • High School education or equivalent.

  • Must be able to read/write English.

  • Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spacesAbility to operate heavy machinery/equipment.

  • Ability to lift a minimum of50 pounds

  • Ability to work in elevated areas

  • Must be able to operate machinery

  • Ability to workovertime

  • Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts

  • Must be able to perform maintenance trades includingmechanical maintenance.


  • Forklift certified.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Prior experience in production related work.

  • Able to perform maintenance trades including: electrical, welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, rigging systems, gearbox and maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems and hydraulic and pneumatic.

  • Experience & knowledge troubleshooting and repairing Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automated systems.

  • Technical experience with robot systems, product line maintenance, and other automated controls.

  • 18 months mechanical experience industrial environment OR Associates Degree from technical college in industrial field.

  • Proficient Mechanical abilities, which exhibit with practical knowledge of precision maintenance Techniques (e.g. Bearing installation, precision measurements, laser alignment)

  • Safety – Owning and being a leader in all aspects of safety (PJHA’s, LOTO’s, Safe-Work Permits, Behavioral based safety, near miss & incident reporting).

  • Preference certifications or verifiable experience in any of the following technical areas:

  • Welding experience.

  • Experience working in a feed mill.

  • Predictive Technologies (IR, MLT, Vibration Analysis, MCA)

  • Ability to document and capture data & results, initiate RCA, 5y, near miss, and hazard analysis.

  • Basic knowledge of all industry safety, food safety, and environmental regulations and requirements.
