This position is located in Memphis, TN. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Our Cotton business unit is one of the largest and oldest cotton businesses. We service growers, ginners, buyers and textile mills worldwide through our network of buying, selling, and shipping offices and our cotton gins and warehouses. Our sales volume worldwide is in excess of $1 billion. We have trading offices in Cordova TN, Liverpool England, Gurgaon India, Sao Paulo Brazil, and Shanghai China. Cargill Cotton is currently recruiting a Machine Driver for our Haslet, TX cotton warehouse.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Operating various warehouse equipment used to load, unload, transport and stack cotton, operating a weigh line (loading, scanning, tagging, pulling samples, taping bales, unloading the line),

• Scanning material using scanner gun, basic maintenance (fill tanks, changing bulbs, etc.) and general housekeeping.

• Maintain good verbal and written communication skills

• Work in non-climate controlled environments

• Work in a team based environment

• Put in practice general knowledge of warehouse safety procedures

• Develop different tasks related with warehouse production

• Operate mobile equipment

• Put in practice general knowledge of warehouse safety procedures

• Handle with vendor/contract processes

• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and Behavior Based Safety programs

Qualifications

• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.

• Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old

• High school diploma/GED

• Must be able to lift and carry 35-50 pounds

• Must be able to operate machinery

• Able to read/write English

• Ability to work overtime

• Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts

• Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift Certified

• 3-6 months operating mobile equipment

• Basic Computer Skills

• At least ( 3-6 months ) of experience in production / warehouse experience preferably in a cotton warehouse related work
