First Tennessee Bank Mortgage Intake Supervisor in Memphis, Tennessee

Description SUMMARY: Provides direct support to the Residential Mortgage Operations Manager by leading and overseeing the intake processing department. Creates and implements work plans, manage the loan pipeline, maintain and process reports, and handle escalating problems with loan files. Assists the Residential Mortgage Operations Manager with Audit responses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Oversees intake processors and works with other department supervisors. 2. Creates and implements work plans, manage the loan pipeline, maintain and process reports, and handle escalating problems with loan files. 3. Assists Mortgage Operations Manager in researching and responding to audits and collaborates with Mortgage Operations Manager in managing the loan pipeline. 4. Trains new and existing employees to ensure consistency of work flow as well as ensuring compliance with all Federal, State and Bank related policies and procedures’; assists Mortgage Operations Manager in performance reviews. Delivery of ongoing coaching to improve all performance metrics and promote behavior aligning with the First Power culture. 5. Maintains and processes reports on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. 6. Maintains working relationships with Management and MLOs to enhance quality of files and improve customer service. 7. Provides leadership by example at all times, through support and endorsement of bank policy. 8. Mitigates risk by conducting thorough and prudent reviews of loan files. Validates loan application and supporting documentation. 9. Completes, passes and maintains an up to date status for all positional and company required compliance and regulatory courses by assigned due date(s). 10. Participates in special projects and assignments and performs other duties as assigned.

COMPLIANCE Adheres to all Federal and State banking regulations including compliance with the bank's Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money Laundering (BSA/AML) program. Follows all Company policies and procedures, and successfully participates in regulatory and Company training requirements via multiple and variable delivery methods

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent Previous Supervisor experience required

  • Minimum 3 years of residential lending/ processing experience

  • Working knowledge of residential loan operations, systems and documentation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Displays leadership capabilities, ability to delegate responsibilities as needed

  • Basic accounting and good mathematic skills
